If you decide to keep your current Medical and Dental plans, no action is required on your part. You and your enrolled dependents will remain covered according to your existing plan choices.
Open Enrollment packets were mailed the last week of October 2019 to all eligible participants.
For 2020, the Southwest Carpenters Health and Welfare Trust is offering the same comprehensive medical, dental, prescription and vision plans as 2019 with the same coverage and deductible amounts.
Plan Options for medical and dental vary by state and bargaining agreement. Click on your state of residence on the left navigation panel to learn more.
Changes must be received by Trust Fund Office no later than November 22, 2019.
Review the information mailed to your address which includes information about Open Enrollment. Even if you do not wish to make any plan changes, the materials include important “Tips and Tools” to help you maximize the benefits under the plans year-round. It is important to understand how your plans work so that you can make good decisions about your plan choices and how you access care.
Even if you don’t change your plan, be sure your dependent information is correct. Open Enrollment is your opportunity to add or remove dependent(s) from your health plans. You can also make dependent changes year-round if you have a change in family status (e.g. marriage, divorce, newborn, etc.). You can review your dependent information by visitingMemberXG.
When adding dependent(s), the Trust Fund will require a copy of the certified birth certificate or marriage certificate and a copy of the first and signature pages of your most recent tax return to enroll your spouse.
If you wish to enroll in a plan other than the one you are currently enrolled in, or if you are eligible, but never enrolled and wish to enroll now, you must complete and return the correct Plan enrollment form(s) to the Trust Fund Office by November 22, 2019. Enrollment forms were included in the Open Enrollment packet mailed to your address. However, you may also find the correct enrollment forms by your state of residence in the menu on the left.
A return envelope was enclosed in the packet sent to your address for your convenience. You may also email your completed forms to: HWEnrollment@carpenterssw.org.
If you are considering changing your medical or dental plan, be sure you read the materials to understand the differences between the plans and what providers are available in your state of residence.
